You can sell one of your horses in auctions if you have at least 0 karma points. If you karma is negative, you will no longer have access to the auctions.

When you want to sell a horse in the auctions, you can select the starting price. The buyers will then bid over this price, and the horse will be transferred to the player who has made the highest bid at the end of 3 days.

If, at the end of the 3 days, no one has bid on a sale, the vendor keeps his/her horse. If the highest bidder does not have enough money in his/her reserve to pay the vendor, the vendor id compensated a small fee and keeps his/her horse, whereas the buyer loses 1 karma point. Finally, if everything goes well, the money is transferred to the vendor and the horse to the buyer.

You can cancel a sale at the auctions over the 3 days to keep your horse if you so wish. This will, however, cost you 15% of the sale price achieved by the horse at the time of cancellation.

NB, reserved auctions (comment which asks other players not to buy the horse, or mention of the reserve in the horse's name) are expressly prohibited and will cost the seller one karma point.

Private sales are reserved for players who have at least 3 karma points and two living horses.

Private sales are a way of selling your horses more quickly than going through the auctions. You directly decide upon your horse's sale price. If a breeder is interested, it can buy it and the money from the sale is immediately paid to you.

It is also possible to reserve a sale for one breeder in particular. If you select this option, only the breeder you have chosen can buy your horse.

Private sales are also a way of exchanging passes in total security with other players.

Note that you can cancel a private sale before it has been concluded without suffering a financial penalty. If no one buys your horse or pony, they will be automatically returned to you 30 days after being put up for sale.
